Food in Japan: Wax Sample Food

In Japan, we have sample foods made of wax, usually put out outside of restaurants or cafes. When I was living in Tokyo, those foods were mainly noodles and rice dishes. This time I found some sweets and modern-look European foods.

I kind of, missed this tacky sample foods. Obviously, posh restaurants never have those things outside.
Last time I went back to Japan, my parents took me to Asakusa where wholesale shops for catering businesses were, and found a few shops selling them. Sushis looked cute though. Those shops make them to order too.

There are my collection of wax sampling food. I think Japan's a funny country! ( with my affection (o^^o))
